Margaret River Part 2
Happy Wednesday!
Last night Tj and I went to a stand-up comedy show with Ken Jeong (also known as Mr. Chow from The Hangover). It was so funny! We were laughing so hard. He lost his flow a little at the end when he was trying out some new jokes, but he was still so funny. We laughed all the way home :)
Now I just hope I’m not too tired at work today haha.
When we went to Western Australia the weather was kind of crappy. It was about nine degrees and raining on and off the whole time. This was not what we were expecting. We tried to make the best of it, and in between all of the wineries and breweries, we actually did drive around and check things out. Here are some things we saw:
Surfer's Point Prevelly
We didn't see any surfers but the waves we nice. It was sooo windy! I was sending my friends videos and they thought it looked like a gorgeous day so I had to turn the camera around and show them how my hair was blowing all over the place. We didn't stay long because it started raining.
Boranup Karri Forest
We were driving to some caves (that we didn't end up going into) and we saw a car pulled over and the man was outside taking pictures. And we all looked around and went wow. It was a forest straight out of a fairy tale. On the way back, Tj pulled over so we could take our own pictures. They do not do the forest justice. This was one of my favourite parts of our whole trip (besides the Quokkas) because it was so different than anything I've ever seen before.
Hamelin Bay
This is the only photo I got because literally the moment we stepped foot on the sand it started pouring rain and we had to run back to the car. K went to the washroom and he never even got to see the beach. It stopped raining a few minutes after we drove away.
Shelley Cove
We stopped here on our last day before we drove back to Perth to catch our flights home. Finally, the sun came out! It would have been nice to have more time to sit and read on the beach. I love the caution sign that warns you to let someone know where you are and what time you are expected back. Reminded me of my mom haha.
Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse
We stopped here on our way back to see the lighthouse, but you had to pay and we didn't care that much. Instead, we hiked around it. The hike wasn't very interesting, but there was a lookout where we could see whales. There was one out there but he didn't do anything exciting lol. And wouldn't you know, after a few days of rain, of course, I got sunburned walking around for an hour.
