St. Kilda Festival and a Lazy Weekend

Happy Monday! My Monday sucks so far... I'm having internet issues so it's taken me forever to get this blog post up, and my toothbrush just fell into the toilet.

The weather this past weekend was a bit of a disappointment. We had been looking at going out of town with Lisa but Saturday came and it was rainy and cloudy. Not the beach weather we had been expecting.

In the end we just hung out. We went to the CBD for Thai food on Friday night. Then we went back on Saturday night for some Chinese dumplings. We have been trying a lot of dumplings and I think I found the best vegetarian ones! Lisa said they were her favourite too, even better than the fish and prawn dumplings she had.

Later we were wandering around and stumbled onto a Greek Festival. The food smelled delicious and  people were dancing in the streets everywhere. It seems like there is always something going on here.

One of the highlights this weekend was attending the St. Kilda Festival. This is Australia's largest free musical festival. There were performers and stages everywhere, food stands, skateboarders, sword fighters, dance lessons, and carnival rides. It was crowded but not too crowded that you couldn't easily walk around and see everything. The weather was perfect, meaning it wasn't too hot. We walked out on the pier and saw a little penguin. It was so cute.

Ok, time to be completely honest, we have been a little (a lot!) lazy at exploring this weekend, and I blame Lisa haha! She brought a card game with her called 'Dutch Blitz' and we have all been so addicted to it! It is so much fun. I need to order my own copy so I can introduce our future guests to it. (Update: Lisa said she will give us her game! Thanks Lisa - WOOHOO!) I have a feeling both of my competitive families will like this one. Even Tj likes it, and he doesn't like any games. He is hoping to play my family and actually beat them for once because he usually loses lol.

Have a great week!
