Friday Favourite!
Happy Friday!
I hope you're having a good week so far! My week has been great, but I'm still looking forward to sleeping in on the weekend :) I don't have too much planned, just some organising and hopefully I'll visit this art exhibit I've been wanting to go to for a while now. It's the last weekend so I hope it won't be too busy but it looks really cool.
For my book post this week I thought I'd talk about one of my all time favourite books: The Lamb: the Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal by Christopher Moore.
This is the first book I can ever remember reading that made me laugh out loud. It's the story of the first thirty years of Jesus' life. It's very sarcastic funny. I've recommended it to some friends who loved it and quoted it back to me all the time, and others who just couldn't get into it, so it might not be for everyone. You might recognise some stories adapted from the New Testament, but it's not very religious. I usually gravitate towards crime fiction and thrillers, so it can be really refreshing to read a funny book once in a while. Especially one where the characters are so memorable. Definitely a five-star review from me!
I am just starting a new book called Children of Time by Adrian Tchaikovsky. I let Tj take the iPad with him on his trip, so I am trying to read the paper books we have around here. This is a science fiction book that I bought for Tj a few years ago - he can be really into space and planets and other universes lol. I said I'd read it and let him know if it's any good haha.
Have a good weekend!
