Weekend Update

Happy Monday!

Tj and I had a good weekend. Lots of sleeping LOL. I thought Tj wasn't jetlagged, but he fell asleep on the couch on Friday night from 7:00pm-11:00pm. Then he was up all night until about 4:30-5:00am. Then he slept 15 hours and didn't wake up until 8:00pm on Saturday! When he finally did wake up he couldn't believe he had slept for so long! He was mad I didn't wake him up earlier but I tried! He was just so out of it lol.

Sunday was a fresh start. We both woke up early, went for a coffee, went to the gym, and did our groceries all before noon! Tj went to meet a friend for lunch, and I had a nice nap :) Now I'm just getting ready for the week ahead. Things are getting busy for both of us at work, and it's someone's birthday this week ;)

Tonight I'm going to make Chrissy Tiegen's Chicken Pot Pie soup (vegetarian version of course) and I made a salad for our lunches for the next couple of days.  The laundry is on and the dishwasher is loaded.

Just a regular weekend doing regular stuff (minus Tj's day of sleeping). Sounds kind of boring but once we start having a bit of routine it's actually pretty exciting. Because it means we are doing this, we are actually living in Australia! Melbourne is really starting to feel like home. We have our favorite stores and markets, and we mostly know our way around. It feels nice that things are coming together here.

I started this blog back when things were a bit tougher. It hasn't been completely smooth sailing and the hardest part is definitely being so far away from friends and family. I keep trying to recruit more visitors but no one wants to come now because winter is coming lol. Hopefully we will get more later in the year *fingers crossed*.

We are really trying to take advantage of all that Melbourne has to offer. They don't call it the World's Most Liveable City for nothing. If you ask me where we see ourselves in two or three or four years I have no freaking clue! I am not worrying about it though, because everything always works out in the end :) For now we will just keep making this same soup recipe and enjoy a relaxing Sunday night catching up on Survivor and Jersey Shore Family Reunion in our 'adopted' home, Melbourne.

Have a great week!
