Weekend Update
Happy Monday!
I hope your week is off to a good start!
The weather in Melbourne is definitely getting a bit chillier. It's going to be about 14 degrees all week and a little rainy. It doesn't sound that cold I know, but that's definitely jacket weather here.
Tj and I had a quiet weekend. I have been so tired lately! I don't know if it's because of the weather change or what. We each had a bit of a work event on Friday night and then we popped on a movie and of course I fell asleep right away (at like 8:00pm).
On Saturday morning Tj slept in and then he sabotaged us! Instead of going to the gym we went for a DELICIOUS brunch at a Pillar of Salt. It was so good I think this is our new #2 favourite brunch spot. Tj had chilli scrambled eggs and I had a massive plate of pancakes. The café was really pretty AND they had a dog! There was literally a dog house in the middle of the restaurant and a sleepy bull dog popped his head out to take some pictures (I wish I got a picture!) and then he went for a little walk outside. I can't even imagine my mom's dog at that restaurant - he would be running around trying to get everyone to pet him or be begging for food. But any restaurant with a dog is my kind of place and we both loved it so we will definitely be back.
We checked out some furniture shops, did some groceries, and before we knew it, it was dinner time. Oops. No gym time.
On Saturday morning before Tj woke up I went out and did a first round of groceries and picked up a package my mom sent from home. Thanks mom! Lots of goodies and birthday cards from back home :) Including a little soup cookbook from my Grandpa so I made us a nice soup for dinner!
Tj and I did a face mask and watched the new show Safe on Netflix. I've definitely written about one of my favourite authors Harlan Coben before, and he has just come out with this new show starring Michael C. Hall (aka Dexter). We watched the first two episodes and got into it but we have to wait for the rest of the series to be available.
Seems like we have our Sunday routine down though. Grab a coffee, walk around, go to the gym, cook for the week and watch Jersey Shore Family Vacation. LOL. And I obviously squeezed in a nap there.
I feel pretty organised going into the week so we will see how long that lasts. Last week was a bit nuts.
Have a great day :)
