Book Club

Happy Friday!

I am so ready for this weekend. This week has been so cold! Definitely the coldest weather so far this winter. All you lucky ducks in Canada have a long weekend and I'm jealous! Even though Tj and I do have some fun stuff planned this weekend, that extra day off would be really nice.

I can't wait to sleep in! I haven't been sleeping that well because I was reading a really creepy book. Books never scare me but this one gave me some crazy dreams.

Today's post is about Book Club.

Every once in a while my girlfriends and I will have a book club, where we all read the same book and then get together to discuss it, but usually, it's just an excuse to hang out and catch up.

I love when we do a book club because I read books that I might not normally choose for myself. Not because they don't look good, but usually my 'To Read' list is already a mile long and unless it's something I'm immediately super excited about it doesn't usually make the cut. But we have read some real gems! And sometimes it's really nice to mix it up and read a different genre.

The book that was chosen this time is The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck: A Counterintuitive Approach to Living a Good Life by Mark Manson.

We are going to read it in September and my girlfriends will meet up sometime in October to discuss (and hopefully the time difference will work out so we can FaceTime too!).

I'll put my review up when we're done and let you know what I thought.

It's Father's Day in Australia on Sunday so happy (fake) Father's Day to my dad and all the dads and uncles and granddads.

Have a great weekend and happy reading :)
