Books I Read in August 2018
Happy Friday!
I am so excited for the weekend! We don't have too much planned but Tj and I really want to check out a new neighbourhood and go for brunch. The weather is getting a little bit warmer and it will be nice to walk around and spend some time outside.
I am really into the book I am reading right now so I am sure I will want to spend lots of time reading. I love that that feeling! Especially because lately I've been in a rut again. It comes up every few months, where I feel like I'm spending too much time on my phone looking at crap or watching shows I'm not really into. I have a whole pile of books to read and podcasts saved and recipes to try and it's just overwhelming. But it's also nothing. Nothing important and nothing that really matters. If I'm really into something I don't feel made up pressure to find the time to fit it in. So this weekend I definitely want to unplug and unsubscribe and just come back to things I actually like.
Here are the books I read in August 2018:
- Unsub by Meg Gardiner (Unsub #1)
- Into the Black Nowhere by Meg Gardiner (Unsub #2)
- All My Puny Sorrows by Miriam Toews
- The Thirst by Jo Nesbo (Harry Hole #11)
- Bring Me Back by B.A. Paris
That's the least amount of books I've read in a month so far this year. We were busy with Jacob's visit and some of my reading time was spent catching up on sleep haha. But it's very satisfying that I rated all of them at least a 4/5. I finally caught up on all the Harry Hole series, although The Thirst gave me scary dreams! And I really enjoyed the Miriam Toews book (this author was recommended to me by my cousin Alice!).
I hope you have a great weekend! Happy Reading :)
