Happy Monday!

I hope you had a great weekend. We had a very fun, very busy weekend with my cousin Koby who was visiting us and now it’s Sunday night and we are both exhausted lol. We had a lot of fun showing Koby around, taking him to some of our favourite restaurants, and trying some new ones we’ve been wanting to go to. We played many very competitive rounds of our favourite game, Dutch Blitz and after getting skunked the first night, I was ultimate champion LOL (even if Tj is still trying to say he let me win one round).

On Saturday the weather was supposed to be bad, so we rented a car and decided to go to Yarra Valley to check out some of the wineries. It was quite cold, but the rain held off and the sun even came out a bit and it turned into a great day. We started at Domaine Chandon, had lunch at Zonzo Estate, and finished at Oakridge Wines. Then we stopped at Yarra Valley Choclaterie and Ice Creamery for some treats. Our final stop was Four Pillars Gin. They had just won a big award for their gins, so we got a free tasting! It was very interesting - they taught us how to taste the gin without inhaling first so you can really taste the flavours without the smell of alcohol.

We drove back to Melbourne and had a barbeque and played some more games before heading out to the casino. Koby was the only winner that night haha. I think he got like five blackjacks in a row!

On Sunday we went for brunch and browsed the Queen Victoria Market before Koby had to leave. The weather was so miserable - cold, windy and rainy! I was very happy to get home again and read on the couch all afternoon. 

We had a great time with Koby and now we are looking forward to our next guest who will get here next weekend. We really love showing people around our city.
