Happy Thursday, 

Today’s post is a day late but I broke from my regular schedule because today’s Jacob’s birthday! 

21!! Where has the time gone?! 

You are so old and that makes me feel so old haha. I don’t remember what I did for my 21st birthday, but I know I went skydiving on my 22nd, so I hope you do something cool. 

I remember when mom brought you home from the hospital and you sounded like a duck when you cried. You were the first boy in the family and you were so much fun. You used to wear your Spiderman costume around the house and jump off the beds and roll around lol. You’d get mad when I’d go out at night with my friends and ask if you could come out with me if you wore stilts. You used to open magazines and show me and mom all the pictures of jewellery you were going to buy us one day. You’d let me read chapter books to you and you loved to sleep in my room on the couch.

I saw this birthday card and thought of you. I don’t know where you came from but I don’t know what we’d do without you. 

I love the adult you are becoming. I love your confidence and your way with people. You are easygoing and can roll with anything (like the time mom booked you a dentist appointment on your birthday and didn’t tell you haha). You get cranky when you are sleepy but I don’t take it personally because I do too.  I don’t think anything stresses you out expect when people yell haha. As you get ready to embark on one of the biggest adventures of your life, I'm so excited for you! I'm not worried at all… just make sure you know how to say, "how do I do laundry" en Espanol.
