Happy Monday! 

Well, Tj and I have had something in the works for the last month or so… we moved!

This was a super busy moving weekend. Tj did most of the work on Friday, and we spent the weekend unpacking and getting organized. Mostly.

After my trip to Canada in March, Tj and I started looking at places just for fun. We wanted to do some research and decided to go to a few inspections just to see what was out there. Inspections are the same as a 15-minute open house.

I’m not even joking but we fell in love with the first place we saw. We saw a few really nice properties that day, but we couldn’t stop thinking about this one place. We decided to put an offer and once it was moving forward I was in total panic city. We weren’t even looking to move yet and everything was happening so fast lol. I really liked the place we were at and it was so convenient to go to our gym every morning.

It only took us a few hours of settling in at our new place to know we made the right decision. The living area is bigger, Tj has his own closet, and we have a great view of the city! We spent all Saturday trying different configurations in our living room until we finally found one we both liked. This setup includes a prime tv watching spot that we will definitely be fighting over. 

We had to order some new appliances because when you rent in Australia they usually aren’t provided. We needed a washing machine and fridge, and I was nervous about my measurements. A few millimetres off and we would’ve been screwed.  Fortunately, everything fits perfectly. We just need to switch our fridge door because now it opens to the wrong side (I watched a youtube video…seems simple enough). One of the upsides to having no fridge for a few days means that we already found a few places to eat around our new neighbourhood lol. 

We are only a ten-minute walk from where we used to live so we can still go to the same gym, it just means we have to wake up a little earlier to make it to those 5:30am classes (good luck with that Tj). 

I can’t wait to share pictures once we get everything set up! 

Tj is so happy here already. He’s been a superstar this weekend unpacking and cleaning. I’ve been a little under the weather and exhausted but I can’t wait to finish organizing my closet and get the bedroom cleaned up. 

It’s been a busy few weeks packing and cleaning and more cleaning and unpacking. It’s a holiday weekend coming up in Australia and all we want to do is hang out at our new place haha.
