Sandringham Hike

Happy Wednesday!

I hope you are having a great week so far.

One of my favourite things about this blog is it gets me up and doing stuff when I am sometimes being lazy lol. Don’t get me wrong, I am all about the weekend naps. But sometimes I feel like I have so much I need to get done on weekends, including rest time, that I forget to get out and have a fun day doing stuff. One of my favourite things about travelling is having nothing to do but explore, relax, and repeat.

This weekend I had a lot of stuff to do, including a little bit of work, and I was engrossed in the latest season of Queer Eye. I was invited on a short hike with some work friends and I almost missed my train and I was going to bail but I am so glad I didn’t. I get everyone and we went on a short hike (I say hike but it was just a nice walk).

We started in the Melbourne suburb of Sandringham, about 19 km from the central business district. It’s off of the nearest train line so it only took me about 20 minutes to get there.

We chatted and walked along the trail going around Port Philip Bay. It is so pretty. One of my friends lives there so she told us about the area, and pointed out a shipwreck not far from the beach that you can paddle out to and snorkel. So cool! I love living in this city where the beauty of nature is so accessible. I’d never been out that way and I was impressed. Afterwards, we stopped for a delicious brunch. It was such a fun morning and I can’t wait to go back with Tj.

Have a great week :)
