Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Monday and Happy Thanksgiving!
It’s Canadian Thanksgiving today and this Thanksgiving sucks because not only are we not at home, most of our families aren’t able to spend the holidays together either.
Tj and I both had to work today. We didn’t cook a big meal, but we had apple pie gelato for dessert and it was surprisingly delicious! We also took the time to say what we are thankful for this year. This year’s list was a little different than usual.
First of all, I am thankful that Tj is here this year because last year he was away for most of October.
But most of all I am thankful that our family and friends are all safe and healthy, and that even though we have been on lockdown for most of the year, it’s not too bad.
2020 has not turned out how we hoped it would. It started out strong but there have definitely been some rough patches, disappointments, and loneliness.
There have also been a lot of facetime chats, a birthday car parade, and even a family birthday zoom call where I have never laughed so hard as when my uncle couldn’t figure out how to rotate his camera. We are so blessed to have such amazing people in our lives, including our new godson!
Even though this year has not been as good as we expected, there is a lot to be thankful for. And even though all my trips home this year never happened, and I have no idea when we can go back or when we will be able to have visitors here, I am thankful because I know that when we do see everyone again, it’s going to be a blast!
Since I don’t have any fall pictures I haven’t used before, I re-used one of my favourite pictures ever for today’s post.
