Staying Motivated
Happy Wednesday!
I hope you had a lovely Easter weekend. Tj and I went to the local bakery for some hot cross buns, which are very popular in Australia. We didn’t get what all the fuss is about, but then we realized we were supposed to toast them haha. That was much better.
It’s only week 2.5 of working from home, but Tj and I have both been struggling with motivation lately. Don’t get me wrong, I am loving the lockdown life. I’m loving reading and doing puzzles and watching old movies. But I started writing this on Sunday to put up on Monday, and I’m just getting around to it now on Wednesday night lol. I wasted my whole Saturday playing a game on my phone and I haven’t been going to the gym and I am starting to feel very lazy.
We are also getting a lot of life admin done, and cleaning and organizing. But it feels different. I have a harder time switching off from work and it’s making my relaxing time less enjoyable.
I’m also trying to balance enjoying my downtime and keeping some sort of a routine. I’ve just set my alarm to wake up early tomorrow to go for a “run” and I’ve set up a new inspiration board next to my working space.
Today I am sharing photos of our signboard. We keep this in the living room and every week or so we change the quote to inspire us for the week. It’s fun! Whenever we have guests we ask them to leave us with a quote too. So thank you Mom, Jacob, and Andre! (Koby, you still owe us one haha).
