Audiobook Update (round 4)

Happy Friday!

I hope you are having a great week so far.

Well, it’s official… we are back in lockdown in Melbourne. For six weeks. Here we go again. We are still allowed out for essential reasons, like groceries and exercise. Gyms and restaurants are closed (except for takeaway) but hair salons and shops are still open. It’s a little confusing, but Tj and I are all set to do our part and stay home haha. The picture for today’s post has a big glare in it, but I decided to use it anyway because I don’t know when we will be back out at a restaurant.

It’s been a few months since my last audiobook update, so I thought I’d share the books I’ve been listening to.

Here are the audiobooks I’ve listened to over the last six months or so:

  1. The Simple Wild by K.A. Tucker

  2. The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell

  3. Anne’s House of Dreams by Lucy Maud Montgomery (for free on Apple podcasts)

  4. You Are Not Alone by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen

  5. Big Summer by Jennifer Weiner

  6. Dirty Book Club by Lisi Harrison

  7. After I Do by Taylor Jenkins Reid

All of these have been very enjoyable listens, but the narrator of Big Summer is Danielle Macdonald (actor from the Netflix show Unbelievable and the movie Dumplin’) and she was fantastic!

I tend to like to listen to audiobooks of books I’ve read before and I was really excited to listen to After I Do. I read this years ago and I thought I really enjoyed it, but the ending I remembered was the complete opposite of how the book actually ended. That was pretty shocking to have remembered something I liked so differently to what it was lol. I’m glad I re-read (listened to) that one!

Now that we are stuck inside again, I’m looking for my next audiobook to listen to while I work on my new puzzle and go for walks around the block haha.

Have a great weekend.

Happy reading :)
