Happy Birthday Tj!
Happy Birthday Tj!
We having a saying around here that everything always works out for Tj. And it kind of does. For example, we always get the best parking spots. We never even worry about it because somehow the perfect spot always opens up right where we want it, right when we need it. Every time. He loses things a lot, but they almost always find their way back to him. He never gets sick. I think I’ve seen him have a cold once, in almost 20 years. And it lasted a day.
He has a saying in life, “C’est une expérience!”. If something goes wrong or doesn’t go as planned, Tj turns it around by approaching it as an opportunity for a different experience.
We spent most of the past year in one of the strictest lockdowns in the world. I knew my homebody self would be fine. But I was worried about how Tj would cope with nothing to do and no where to go. And he surprised me by doing great! He became a local coffee connoisseur and found all the best cafes in the neighbourhood. He started taking cooking lessons from his mom in Canada over Facetime and learned to make some very delicious Vietnamese dishes! He started running again and impresses me everytime he runs ‘just a quick 10k’ during his break.
This year, we can’t travel and we can’t go to the casino. But after a few cold rainy days, the weather is looking good for just in time for Tj’s birthday (because everything works out for Tj) and hopefully we can make the most of it and explore a new part of Melbourne.
Happy Birthday Tj! I hope you have the best year ever :)
