Working on my 'TBR' pile

Happy Friday!

I hope you are having a good week so far.

One of my 2021 reading goals is to finish my TBR (to be read) pile. This means I want to finally ready all the books I've bought but never gotten around to reading. Usually I buy books and when I am waiting for something to become available at the library, I would read something from my TBR pile. Except that didn't work out for me last year, and in January and February I was 0-2. And lately it seems like everything I request from the library becomes available in the same week.

So I decided to do something about it haha.

For the entire month of April, I am only going to read a book that is in my TBR pile that I already own.

This was actually hard for me to commit to. I thought about doing this last year but I didn't want to tie myself down haha.

So if a book I have on hold becomes available from the library, I am going to delay by hold until May. Ahhh. But I have so many good books to read, I'm actually looking forward to this. And this might help me reach my reading goal this year, so let's go!

Here are the books in my TBR pile:

  1. We Are Water by Wally Lamb

  2. Pour Toujours et à Jamais by Jenny Han (YA)

  3. Big Sky by Kate Atkinson (Jackson Brodie # 4)

  4. Originals by Adam Grant (non-fiction)

  5. The Book of Lost Names by Kristen Harmel

  6. Her Dark Lies by J.T. Ellison

  7. The Rose Code by Kate Quinn

  8. Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari (non-fiction)

  9. Homo Deus by Yuval Noah Harari (non-fiction)

  10. 21 Lessons for the 21st Century by Yuval Noah Harari (non-fiction)

  11. How Not to Die by Michael Greger (non-fiction)

  12. The Kind Worth Killing by Peter Swanson

  13. The Last Anniversary by Liane Moriarty

I definitely won’t be able to finish all of these, but I’ll make as big a dent as I can in a month.

I’ll give you an update in May and let you know how it goes.

Have a great weekend.

Happy reading :)
