Book Haul (Round 8)
Happy Friday!
I hope you are having a great week so far.
One of my reading goals this year is to read what I want when I want. Often I will be excited about a book and request it from the library, and it will be weeks or months before I finally get around to reading it, and by that time I've lost my enthusiasm and probably forgotten what it's about in the first place.
So to support my reading goal - I get to buy more books
This is not a hard task for a bookaholic like me haha.
My last book haul was in August 2020.
Here are the books I've bought recently:
The Book of Lost Names by Kristen Harmel - This was a daily deal on kobo a while back and I scooped it up. I’ve been enjoying historical fiction lately (see my favourite books with female spies) and this one has great reviews.
The Rose Code by Kate Quinn - Another historical fiction, but Kate Quinn’s books have been some of my favourites that I’ve read over the past few years. I didn’t want to wait for months to get this one from the library.
Win by Harlan Coben (pre-ordered) - It’s no secret that Harlan Coben is one of my favourite authors, but this is a new twist on one of my favourite series! I pre-ordered this one and I’m so excited. I am currently re-reading the latest book in the series and it’s just making me more excited to read Win.
Her Dark Lies by J.T. Ellison - I’ve read this author before, and I was in the mood for a good mystery. Plus it’s set in Italy, one of my favourite places in Europe. Since I won’t be going to the Italian Coast any time soon, I’ll let the book take me there!
Everything After by Jill Santopolo - After all those war books and thrillers, I’m sure I’ll be in the mood for something a little lighter. This is a contemporary romance. One of Jill’s other books was a Reese Witherspoon book club pick that I really enjoyed, so I thought I’d give her new release a shot.
Have a great weekend.
