Bridal Tea Party

Bridal Tea Party

Happy Tuesday!

Change of plans… Tj's blog post will have to wait! It should be coming tomorrow but that's what he said about today so we'll have to see lol.

Today I thought I'd share some photos from my bridal tea party.

Last September my mom threw me the most amazing bridal tea party. I kept insisting that I didn't want a bridal shower, so she surprised me with a tea party instead. The event planner was Nicole Khalil of Eventful by Nicole Khalil. She did such a great job of capturing my mom's vision. It was the perfect mix of girly with a bit of a travel vibe. Most of the photos are from a professional photographer Nicole hired.

My mom had some help from her friend and family members and my bestie helped plan the games. The details that went into this event were incredible. It looks like something from Pinterest! My aunt made little 'purses' that held a Hershey's kiss chocolate for every place setting. And they polished my Nanny Pownall's tea set and put it out which was such a thoughtful detail. Another thing I loved was one of the prizes. It was a serving plate and my mom's friend made her famous homemade chocolate chip cookies to go with it. The cool thing is it was a sharing plate (or something like that) where you bring it to an event and leave it with the hosts. Then they can use the plate when they go to an event. A chain of love and food haha.

The food at my tea party was yummy, the desserts were scrumptious, and the drinks were flowing haha! I even made my own cake but we didn't serve it because the one there was delicious!

One of the reason's I didn't want a traditional bridal shower was because it was kind of overwhelming to think of having everyone all together and being the centre of attention (I can be very shy). But the best part of the day was being surrounded by such an amazing group of women! There was serious girl power in the room. And it was nice to feel so loved by the ladies in my life that I see all the time and the ones that I don't see very often. My mom did an amazing speech thanking everyone for being in our lives and then I was all mushy when I had to go next. I didn't get to say everything I wanted to because I didn't want to cry LOL. What a great day! I know I will never forget it. Thank you to everyone who pulled it all together xoxo
