Books I Read in October 2021
Happy Friday!
Well, it’s been a minute. I don’t even know where the month of October has gone but it has completely flown by.
Melbourne is finally out of lockdown and we are fully vaccinated woohoo. I’m starting to write this post on a Tuesday afternoon, holding Baby Tj who is so tired but refuses to nap. Luckily she is a happy sleepy baby and she is laughing her head off at the sound of my typing so I’m going to keep going for now.
October was peak four-month sleep regression for Baby Tj, which means I got a lot of reading done during her naps when she needed a bit more settling than usual meaning I had to sit beside her. Hey, I’m not complaining.
Here are the books I read in October 2021:
I Killed Zoe Spanos by Kit Frick (YA)
The Bromance Book Club by Lyssa Kay Adams
The Night She Disappeared by Lisa Jewell
Snapped by Alexa Martin
The Other Black Girl by Zakiya Dalila Harris
Meet Me in Paradise by Libby Hubscher
A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson (YA)
Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco (YA)
Anne of Manhattan by Brina Starler
Friends Like These by Kimberley McCreight
We Are The Brennans by Tracey Lange
Top recommendations: A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder and Anne of Manhattan
Least favourite: Stalking Jack the Ripper (I wanted more decription of London and the neighbourhood where I used to live!)
I have been getting some really good book recommendations off of Booktok and some friends of mine have started a bit of a book club again so stay tuned because I have a lot of good books to share. It’s alsoalmost time for my Christmas book gift guides for the readers in your life.
