Wedding Details
Happy Wednesday!
Hope you are having a great week so far. I have been busy planning some stuff for Jacob's visit in August. I am also looking forward to the Australian version of Survivor that starts next week. I haven't seen it before, but I've heard from another Survivor superfan (Oskar!) it's even better than the American version!
Today I thought I'd share some never before seen (haha actually I've probably posted some of them before) photos from our wedding. These are some photos of the details of the day the photographers captured along with a few fun facts!
P.S. 5 months from today is Christmas :)
Fun Fact # 1 - Wedding Sign
I made some fun wedding signs to be placed around the venue. We are so lucky we had so many people to help us out! I designed the sign and bought the marble paper template, my mom had them professionally printed, and then my dad mounted them on cardboard.
Fun fact #2 - My shoes
I found those amazing Ted Baker shoes at TK Maxx (like Winners) in London for an amazing price! I was beyond thrilled and so in love with them!!! But when it came time to wear them for the wedding day I never put them on! First, we were taking pictures in the forest and I had to run around on a gravel road so I just wore my back up pair - they were blush heels and super comfy, but not the wedding shoes I had dreamed of. I forgot to change into my "wedding" shoes when I wore my Vietnamese dress, but honestly at that point that was the last thing I was thinking of. They clashed with the red dress and gold pants, but I couldn't care less! My feet were thanking me on the dance floor later haha.
Fun Fact # 3: Favour Tags
Things were so crazy before the wedding! I ordered the striped tags for the wedding favours online and made a thank you sticker label. I got clear elastics to tie them on and I was so happy with them! I sent a pic to TJ and he said they were hideous! I said be nice I spent four hours doing all of these and he said that was four hours I just wasted! hahaha. He must've been having a bad day because later when I sent him a picture of them all lined up he loved it!
Fun Fact # 4: Centrepieces
The lights in these centrepieces are not only decorative, but they can also be used for jump rope and limbo! hahaha. They were definitely a hit on the dancefloor! Who knew?
Fun Fact #5: Sweets Table
The sweets table was made with love! There were some of my favourite homemade goodies made by mom aunts and my mom's best friend, mixed in with some special treats from the best bakeries around town that my best friend Erla (and others she recruited) were running around getting the night before the wedding! In the original list I gave her, I way underestimated the amounts we needed (I think I said just get a dozen cupcakes) but luckily she didn't listen to me! We got Timbits as a last resort to fill the table if we started running out of stuff (they're a Canadian classic haha) and even some of those were put out! I guess dancing makes people hungry.
