Book to Netflix Movie
Happy Friday!
I hope you're having a great week so far. Hopefully by the time you are reading this, I will be on my way to a beautiful beach.
I am so excited because one of my favourite YA books has been made into a movie on Netflix and it comes out today!
The book I'm talking about is To All the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han.
I love that Lara Jean is half Korean. I love her relationships with her sisters and her dad. And I love that this is the first book in a trilogy. When I first read the book I found her character sounded a little young. But I got used to the style and fell in love with the story. It's just a fun, cute little book and the series is one of my favourites. The audiobooks are so good too because the narrator perfectly captures the characters.
So I'm excited and a little nervous to see the Netflix movie. I hope it translates onto the screen and doesn't disappoint! I can't wait to see how they tell the story.
Here is the blurb from Chapters.ca:
What if all the crushes you ever had found out how you felt about them…all at once? Sixteen-year-old Lara Jean Song keeps her love letters in a hatbox her mother gave her. They aren’t love letters that anyone else wrote for her; these are ones she’s written. One for every boy she’s ever loved—five in all. When she writes, she pours out her heart and soul and says all the things she would never say in real life, because her letters are for her eyes only. Until the day her secret letters are mailed, and suddenly, Lara Jean’s love life goes from imaginary to out of control.
Hope you have a great weekend!
Happy reading :)
