Lily
Happy Monday!
I hope you had a great weekend. Sadly, we lost another of our furry friends and had to say goodbye to Lily last week.
Lily was the happiest of all the good girls. She huffed and she puffed and she’d wiggle and rub her back on your legs until you’d finally give in and pet her. She loved food, more food, and even day-old leftover Jack food. She was no fool though, and it didn’t matter if you hid her medicine in yummy cheese or other treats, she would spit it out. She did not like getting her paws wet in the rain, no matter how badly she had to go to the washroom and she wasn't a fan of the Halloween costumes I would buy for her, especially the too small ladybug hat that made her eyes bulge out lol.
Lily could “speak” for us, and after her surgery, she took advantage of her newfound mobility to climb the stairs and “go find mommy” every chance she got. She loved her brother Jack but if he was getting too much attention she would squeeze him out of the way so she could have the prime real estate for hugs.
She was a tough little lady, with nine lives like a cat. She wasn’t going anywhere.
In her final moments, she was surrounded by family, with her brother Jack lying by her side.
We will miss you. Rest in peace Lily Bird. xo
