Books I Read in August 2019
Happy Friday!
I hope you are having a great week so far. I missed Wednesday’s post because I went for drinks after work on Tuesday and came home and fell asleep watching Survivor haha. The weather is getting so nice, and it was a perfect afternoon to hit a rooftop for some delicious cocktails.
August was a great reading month. There were so many new books that came out and ones that I’d been wait for at the library forever that all seemed to become available at the same time. Some of them lived up to the hype, some started out strong and then disappointed, and some surprised me in the best way.
Here are the books I read in August 2019:
Recursion by Blake Crouch
The Night Tiger by Yangsze Choi
One Day in December by Josie Silver
Always Never Yours by Emily Wibberley (YA)
Pieces of Her by Karin Slaughter
One Good Deed by David Baldacci
City of Girls by Elizabeth Gilbert
One Second After by William R. Fortschen
If I’m Being Honest by Emily Wibberley (YA)
Top recommendations this month: The Night Tiger and City of Girls
Least favourite: Always Never Yours
