Happy Tuesday!

I hope you had a great weekend.

Tj and I had a very quiet weekend, as I expect will be the usual for the foreseeable future. Stay inside folks haha. Tj has been keeping busy with a little project - transforming his walk-in closet into a home office space. I'll have to share pictures soon - he's done such a great job. He's re-arranged it about 20 times by now, but it makes him so happy haha. On Saturday all he wanted to do was work on his office space and organise his closet. On Sunday, we didn't even realise the time had changed until 3:00 in the afternoon. Oops.

It's crazy to think how much things have changed in just a few weeks. When we were in Esperance, Tj and I spent a lot of time discussing where we want to go next, and planning out our holidays for the rest of the year. I'm not sure how much of that, if any, will happen now. With Easter just around the corner, it's a little sad to think that we won't be able to go anywhere. I am so happy we squeezed in this Western Australia trip when we did.

Today I am sharing pictures from Wharton Beach. We went here the day after we went to Lucky Bay, and just when I thought nothing could top seeing kangaroos on the beach, we had a totally new experience - driving on the beach!

Wharton Beach was about an hour's drive from Esperance, where we were staying. When we got there, there was a warning sign for sharks, snakes, strong currents, and sandbar. Umm… what were we getting into? Our car had four-wheel drive, so we were able to drive on the beach. It was soooooo cool.

Another endless beach of white sand and turquoise water -we had so much fun! We tried to follow these other trucks that went to the end and then disappeared down a 'secret' path, but our car wasn't quite up for it and we didn't want to risk getting stuck.

Later we parked on the beach near some other people, set up our beach tent, and had an awesome day. We had our cooler in the trunk and we packed a lunch and we just read and hung out all day. We tried to swim a little but the water was freezing. Like I felt like I was back in Canada skating on the canal and so cold I couldn't feel my toes. This was probably the coldest water we've felt in Australia. Even Tj couldn't stay in very long.

We napped and then went back to Esperance to catch the sunset. It was our last full beach day before the long drive back to Perth, and it was pretty perfect.

For now, while we are locked inside, at least we have the recent memories of our holiday to hole us over until the next one.

Have a great week :)
