World Book Day

World Book Day

Happy Thursday!

I hope you are having a great week so far.

Today is World Book and Copyright Day, an annual event organized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to promote reading, publishing, and copyright.

I’m going to take World Book Day more literally, and take you on a world tour with books. I’ve picked a few books from different countries on every continent. I have chosen books that I’ve read that are set in these places, but they aren’t meant to represent that country or the culture.

I’ve written before that when I travel I like to read books that are set wherever I am going. There are definitely some regions under-represented in my reading, but making this list has made me realize how much I enjoy ‘traveling’ between the pages. Books have made me fall in love with places I’ve never seen.

So grab a cup of tea and curl up in your favourite reading spot (which I guarantee is comfier than any flight I’ve ever been on), and let’s go on a journey around the world!
