Bucket List Notebook
Happy Monday!
I hope you are had a great weekend. The weather was sunny and warm here in Melbourne. Tj and I tried to spend as much time outside as possible. Some restrictions have been lifted here and it was definitely strange to see so many people out and about. We went to the market and it was packed! We also found a new bakery and picked up some delicious treats. On Sunday we went for a jog and then back to the bakery for bread and more treats haha. It was a great weekend, and although I didn't get everything on my to-do list done, I did clean the balcony windows and I managed to finish a book, so I'll count it as a win.
It feels like so long ago when we were able to travel but it was only a few months ago we were jetting off to Bali, or lounging on the beaches in Western Australia. Who knows when we will be able to travel so freely again?
While we are locked down, I've been thinking a lot about where I want to go one day. And very fittingly, Tj gave me this Bucket List notebook for my birthday. I love it! You add things to your list with a brief description, add the why and how, and there's even a spot for you to fill out when and where you complete the item.
Here is what I wrote for my first Bucket List item:
Description:
Go on Safari! I want to see all the wild animals!
Why and How?
I was given this Bucket List notebook from Tj for my birthday in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. Almost everything is closed except for the grocery stores and Officeworks, a business supplies store nearby. Every time we go by, we joke about how busy it is - I don't know if that's because everyone is working/schooling from home, or if it's because everyone is so desperate to go anywhere and Officeworks is the only place open. Anyways, I kept joking that Tj was going to have to buy all my birthday presents from Officeworks and then he gave me this notebook and some new, erasable, pens haha. So to get our bucket list started, I have to choose one place I definitely want to go - and I choose to go on a safari!
I haven't added a date to my notebook, but I have a deadline in my mind when I want to accomplish this travel bucket list item.
Last year during a long road trip Tj and I started a list of all the places where we want to travel. Somethings (Japan 2020 Olympics) are definitely not going to happen LOL. But I can't wait to add the others to my notebook and my own bucket list items as well. If Megan Away is any indicator, I like to record things. And this little notebook that Tj randomly found during the pandemic is something that I can hopefully use for the rest of my life, long after Megan Away is over. I can't wait to fill up the pages and cross things off my bucket list :).
