Happy Friday!

I hope you are having a great week so far. I'm feeling a little drained this week. I think I'm still adjusting to the time change last weekend and missing my extra hour of sleep. I am excited for the weekend though — the weather is supposed to be sunny and warm!

This week at the grocery store they were selling big fat pumpkins. It's so weird to me because it's spring here, and I don't even think they celebrate Halloween.

I usually get most of my books from the library and I try not to buy too many. But sometimes I'll treat myself if there's a sale, or if it's something I've been dying to read and the library wait is too long. You can read about my last book haul back in May here.

A lot of the books I've picked up lately were books I was waiting to come out. I remember writing that list back in June and it felt like forever before they would be released.

Here are 5 books I bought recently:

  1. Lethal White by Robert Galbraith (Cormoron Strike #4) - confession, I already finished this one and I loved it. Robert Galbraith in the pen name for Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling. This is a detective series, which I love, but it's the underlying romance that is my favourite part of this series.

  2. The Perfect Mother by Aimee Molloy - This one sounded so interesting and I kept coming across it. I picked it up when the ebook went on sale. I have also already finished this one and I have to admit I expected more.

  3. The Favorite Sister by Jessica Knoll - A book with murder, set on a reality tv show? Sign me up!

  4. Prisoners of Hope by Barbara Fradkin (Amanda Doucette #3) - I love this mystery series set in Canada.

  5. Nine Perfect Strangers by Liane Moriarty - This book isn't even out in Canada until November, but it's already available here so I picked up a copy! I might save it for our next beach trip since it's the only one I bought that's a paper copy, not an ebook, and you know I prefer paperbacks when reading on the beach.

    Happy reading!
