Happy Friday!

I hope you've been having a great week. I am super excited for the weekend. There's a lot of life admin stuff I need to get done this weekend, but the weather on Saturday is looking promising so hopefully I can get Tj to have a picnic in the park with me and maybe get some good reading done.

Less than a month until Christmas! I can't believe how quickly this whole year has gone by. Surprise - my favourite gift to give is a book. I read some books and immediately forget everything that happened (which is why I had to start a list of books I read). Other books stick with me forever. And even if I don't remember all the details, something tugs at my heart or mind and it makes an impact.

I always hope to be the giver of a book that affects someone the way my favourites have to me. It's not common, probably because I love books more than most people, but I'll always keep giving books just in case I get a hit haha.

So leading up to Christmas, I will give some gift giving recommendations of books that I've read and some that I would like to read.

Since Jacob has been on a non-fiction kick lately, today I thought I'd start by sharing some non-fiction books would make good gifts. I'm sure you can tell if you've been reading my book posts that I generally go for fiction. I find non-fiction to be a much more personal choice than fiction. Nonetheless I have squeezed in some good non-fiction books over the years so here you go:

The Last Black Unicorn by Tiffany Haddish

Lean In by Sheryl Sandberg

How to Be Parisian Wherever You Are by Anne Berest, Audrey Diwan, and Caroline de Maigret

The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin

Brain on Fire: My Month of Madness by Susannah Cahalan
