Bali Trip 2020: Beach Clubs
Happy Monday!
I hope you had a great weekend. Tj had a corporate triathlon on Sunday. He ran 4km and his team won for his company! And I somehow managed to hurt my shoulder while doing a puzzle LOL.
When we were in Bali, we went to two amazing beach clubs.
Sunday’s Beach Club
We went to Sunday’s when we went to Bali for Christmas 2018 and loved it.
Location: Uluwatu
Cost: about $45.00 AUD but $25.00 of that goes towards food and drink credit
The best part: the beach!
Sunday’s is awesome. When you arrive, there is a gorgeous infinity pool overlooking a cliff. You can look down and see a glimpse of the beach and the most stunning clear blue water. We were so excited! You take a little cable car down to the beach. There are bean bags and lounge chairs and a restaurant and bar.
We started our day on the bean bags and it was sooooooo hot. Seriously, I couldn’t cool down. I kept going from ocean to bean bag to the shower to back to the ocean. Eventually, my mom managed to get us some lounge chairs right next to the beach and it was much cooler. It made such a difference. It was also nice to sit in the restaurant which had a lot of fans to keep us cool.
In the morning the water was pretty rough. The waves were strong and I wasn’t expecting it. I lost another pair of sunglasses to the ocean! The lifeguard thought he found them and pulled a pair of sunglasses out of the water and I was like, ‘these aren’t mine’. They were my mom’s sunnies - she hadn’t even realised hers were missing too hahaha.
In the afternoon, the water was incredible. It was warm, calm, and crystal clear. When you are in the water, you get a great view of the beach club and the cliffs.
Before we left we took the cable car up to the top and hung out in the pool for a bit to rinse off and cool off before going back to our villa.
I’ve never been there at night so I don’t know what the vibe is, but I would highly recommend it for the day. It was our only Bali beach day and we all had a great time.
Finn’s Beach Club
Location: Canggu
Cost: We got a deluxe bed and two single beds. It worked out to about $75.00 AUD per person, but 100% of that went towards food and drink credits (which we definitely used all of).
The best part: the pools!
We went to Finn’s on our last day which actually worked out perfectly. We wanted to go the day before, which would have been nice to partake in the festivities a bit more, but it was pouring rain. We definitely made the right call switching our plans and coming here on our last day.
When we woke up Jacob wasn’t feeling the greatest, so it was the perfect spot for us all to hang out together before the overnight flight back to Australia. We got there in the morning and stayed all day.
I loved this place! We had a great lounger and we didn’t have to wait for it. There are four pools but we mainly hung out in two of them, including one with a nice swim-up bar.
We were there all day and I feel like we had a great variety of food and drinks, including fresh juices and coconuts. There are six restaurants and we were able to order from all of them. We had fries and quesadilla and a Mediterranean plate and even sushi! Later we changed and had a proper sit-down dinner at the Italian and French restaurant.
It is a club - at 4:00 pm the music gets louder and a singer comes out. They start taking down all of the umbrellas to get ready for the sunset. It was so pretty. We all went to the VIP pool and watched the sunset. I felt so lucky to be there, in this incredible place, watching this sunset with my family. It was a great end to our Bali adventure.
I wasn’t sure if the club environment would be too much for my family, but I loved this place and would highly recommend it! So much fun and also very relaxing.
Ahhh I miss Bali!
