Books I Read in July 2020
Happy Friday!
I hope you are having a good week so far. Tj and I have survived our first week on stage 4 restrictions and just stayed home haha. It hasn't made much of a difference to us to be honest because we were already staying home. Also, it was very cold this week and some parts of our state actually got snow! That has definitely helped us stay inside where it’s nice and warm and cozy.
We don’t have many plans for the weekend haha, except I think I finally convinced Tj to work on the puzzle with me and play Dutch Blitz so that will be fun.
No surprise, this was a great reading month for me.
Here are the books I read in July 2020:
Redemption Road by John Hart
Winterborne Home for Vengeance and Valour by Ally Carter (middle grade)*
The Other Woman by Sandie Jones
The Girl from Widow Hills by Megan Miranda
The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett
Walk the Wire by David Baldacci
The Henna Artist by Alia Joshi
Sex and Vanity by Kevin Kwan
I’m Still Here: Black Dignity in a World Made for Whiteness by Austin Channing Brown (non-fiction)**
The Wife Stalker by Liv Constantine
Top recommendations this month: The Henna Artist, The Vanishing Half, and Sex and Vanity
Least favourite: Walk the Wire
*I love Ally Carter books, even if they are for kids.
**I read this book to inform myself about racial issues and it is not included in my recommendations/least favourites.
