Mother's Day Gift Ideas 2021

I hope you had a great weekend.
Tj and I ended up being a little lazier than we anticipated but it was still very nice. We enjoyed a nice brunch and a few long walks around the neighbourhood. We also had a Younger watch party with Tj’s little sister which was a lot of fun. I think we might make it a weekly event :).
Today I want to share some Mother’s Day gift ideas.
Now mom, if you’re reading, stop here because some of these ideas might be on their way to you haha. I’ve separated my gift ideas into beauty, home, books, and splurge!
Beauty
Laneige Good Night Kit - my mom gave me this lip sleep mask and it’s so hydrating! I just use it like a lip balm whenever my lips feel dry, but I love the texture. Even if the woman in your life isn’t into makeup, this is a safe bet for a gift.
Sephora Favourites: Vacay All Day - I love this kit because it has such a range of different products - skin, hair, lips, mascara - literally everything you’d need to bring on vacation. And you know I love sample sizes for travel - they are so much more practical for packing. But since travel is off the tables for a while, mini sized products are a fun way to switch up your regular beauty routine and try new products.
Institut Esthederm Calming Cleansing Milk - This is one of my favourite products ever. It’s a great makeup remover and never irritates my skin or eyes (and I am very particular about makeup removers). I’d personally highly recommend this product and would definitely suggest it for my mom to try.
Coola Sunless Tan Anti-Aging Face Serum - I haven’t tried this but I think it’s a perfect gift for my mom. If living in Australia has taught me anything, it’s the importance of wearing sunscreen and protecting your skin! But after a long winter and lockdown, no one wants to look like they’ve just spent months inside. This product has great reviews, so I would gift it to my mom to test out and she can tell me if it’s any good haha.

There’s a bit of a theme to my home gift ideas. I anticipate people will be spending a lot of time socially distancing outdoors this summer. I’m loving the seasonal products from Indigo this year, so if none of my suggestions below are just right for your mom, you should definitely check out the website. I think the stores are closed, but they have quick delivery options and curbside pickup.
LEE VALLEY X OUI GARDEN TOTE BAG AEGEAN BLUE - It seems like everyone I know has taken up gardening! All my girlfriends are turning out the most impressive vegetable gardens. I thought this garden tote bag was super cute! I would want my mom to use it as a caddy around the house to store the cleaning products and paper towels she likes to keep at hand.
OUI BEACH TENT CITRUS - I don’t know if the beach is in your summer plans, but a beach test is a must-have! Tj and I got one in Australia and it has made spending time on the beach so much more enjoyable! It can also be used on a picnic! It’s perfect to bring a little shade with you wherever you go. Great for outdoor family time this summer.
OUI TRAY SUMMER FLORAL CITRUS - It’s time to step up your mom’s outdoor entertaining gear. This tray is so pretty and would be perfect for my mom to serve up all the cookies and treats she’s always making.
OUI STEMLESS WINE GLASS POLLEN - These glasses would look so pretty on the tray above! And they don’t have to be just for wine (although a glass of rose would match the theme), but a cold glass of pink lemonade would look just as cute haha.
Dutch Blitz Game - This game is easy to learn and lots of fun to play. Games are a great way to spend time hanging out with your mama.
Books
I’ve chosen books that are fairly new releases so hopefully your mom won’t have read them already.
The Rose Code by Kate Quinn - I just finished this one and it’s another great historical fiction novel by this author.
Find You First by Linwood Barclay- For the mom who likes a good thriller, Linwood Barclay never disappoints.
Shipped by Angie Hickman - A good rom-com makes a great poolside read! I love that this book is set on a cruise through the Galápagos, somewhere I’d love to visit one day.
The Four Winds by Kristin Hannah - This book was sad and hopeful at the same time, with an ending I didn’t see coming.
Splurge
SKIMS Cozy Knit Robe - I hate to recommend a product by this famous family, but I’ve heard a lot of great reviews for this robe. And I think every woman loves a cozy robe that looks nice!
