5 Things I'm Loving Lately

5 Things I'm Loving Lately

Happy Wednesday!

I hope your week is going well so far. Today I thought I'd share five things I have been loving lately.

Pressed News

This company was founded by the friend of a friend, and I have to say I have been really enjoying it. I subscribed to Pressed and every morning I get an email summing up the latest news stories. They are short and simple to read, and I really feel so much better informed since I started getting their emails. I guess in Canada they would come first thing in the morning but with the time difference, I get it in the evening. Sign up here to see what it's all about!

New TV Shows

I am so excited for the new seasons of all my favourite TV shows. Especially Survivor! The Australian season is just wrapping up and the American season is just starting so it's double survivor time. The Australian theme was Champions vs. Contenders and the American show is doing Davids vs. Goliaths. Very similar concepts so it'll be interesting to see how they play out. Tj and I also enjoy watching This is Life by Lisa Ling and we are giving some new shows a shot this year. I have also been watching the second season of Anne (based on Anne of Green Gables) on Netflix and I love it.

Podcasts

I have been on a big audiobook kick lately so I haven't been listening to as many podcasts as usual. But season 3 of Serial just started and I am enjoying it. Sarah Koenig is such an engaging storyteller. I also like Armchair Expert with Dax Shepherd and Oprah's Masterclass. You can read about some of my other favourite podcasts here.

Dill Pickles

This one is completely random, but when we lived in London I could never find dill pickles anywhere. Australia has them though, and Tj and I have been devouring jar after jar. We are trying to eat healthier, and they are such a perfect snack. And as my friend Anna taught me, they also go nicely on salads!

Grammarly

This is a free app that can be added to your phone or your computer and it makes sure everything you type is clear, effective, and mistake-free. It checks spelling and grammar and helps you write mistake free on Gmail, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other places you write online. I started using it a few months ago to help me with this blog. Some nights I would be tired and make silly mistakes and Tj never has time to proof-read for me, so Grammarly has been a lifesaver! Well, maybe not a lifesaver, but it makes me look at least smarter. Check it out here!

Honourable Mentions to things I’ve been loving lately go to the casino and soy chai lattes with honey haha.

Have a great day :)
