Weekend Update
Happy Monday!
There was a big storm in Ottawa and a tornado touched down outside of the city. I've seen some pictures online of the damage and it's crazy. Nature is so powerful! Hopefully, everyone gets their power back soon.
Tj is going on a work trip in a few weeks so we've been enjoying hanging out together. Friday night we went to a Mexican restaurant for dinner. It came highly recommended but not our favourite. Then we went back to the casino for the third weekend in a row to test our luck.
We were not lucky hahaha.
Saturday was gorgeous here. We went for a nice walk and went for brunch. Tj had the most epic iced coffee with ice cream. I have a feeling we will be going there more often when the weather warms up. The highlight of Tj’s weekend was probably getting to check out the new iPhone models. We just walked around, stopped in shops, picked up some groceries and enjoyed being outside. We bought a lot of strawberries to support the farmers because there was an incident a few weeks ago where someone put sewing needles in strawberries so they had to do a huge recall across Australia. There were pictures in the news of mountains of strawberries that had to be destroyed.
We went to the gym on Saturday night which was actually kind of nice because for once it wasn't super busy. Then we watched the movie Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle with the Rock, Kevin Hart and Jack Black. I'm surprised because that's not normally the kind of movie Tj would watch with me but we both thought it was pretty funny. And I didn't even fall asleep!
Sunday was just a perfect Sunday. Tj and I went for a walk and coffee. We realised the Prahran Market is doing the thing again where you can fill a box with as many fruit and vegetables as you want for $15. We went last weekend but they weren't doing it (maybe cause we went on a Saturday, we aren't sure). Next weekend we will go back and load up.
Tj went out and I read all afternoon and had a nap on the couch. Perfect day.
