Bali Part 3: Where We Stayed

Bali Part 3: Where We Stayed

Happy Monday!

This post is a little late going up today because we had a crazy busy weekend. Our friends Dave and Lauryn were back in Melbourne and we had so much fun showing them around. We had the best time dancing all night at a dive bar on Friday and it was sad to say goodbye when they left this morning. We were so busy all weekend and I am so tired now. I can't wait to go to bed nice and early tonight.

Today I thought I'd share more of our Bali trip. It's only been a few weeks but I miss travelling! One of my favourite things about our trip was our accommodations. Tj did the best job of finding us great places to stay, in great locations.

In Seminyak we stayed at Villa Wahah near Seminyak Square. Tj found this place on Airbnb and it was amazing. We were just down the street from lots of restaurants and shopping. My favourite part was our private pool and open living space. It was so cozy. I wish we would have had more time to just hang out there. They provided us with a cell phone to use for local calls and for ordering a taxi. We could also reach the staff 24 hours a day if we needed. You can also arrange for a private chef to come and cook for you, or for a masseuse to come. Unfortunately we ran out of time to do those things.

In Ubud we stayed at Dwaraka The Royal Villas. We had a two bedroom villa with our own pool (but the water was just a little too cold). It was traditional Balinese style and everything down to the doors were beautiful. The villa had an outdoor shower and bath and pretty canopy beds. This place doesn't have a kitchen, but breakfast was provided every morning, including fresh juices, so I felt a little healthy while eating all the pancakes haha. We also had a mini fridge full of free pop. We spent one of my favourite mornings swimming in the infinity pool overlooking a rice field. It was so pretty.  This hotel was just outside of Ubud but they had a great shuttle system and took us to town even when it wasn’t a scheduled time. They also gave us a cell phone so we could call when we wanted to be picked up.

*I thought Tj took all the pictures of this villa so I didn't take many. But he thought I took all the pictures so now we realised we don't really have any.

My least favourite thing about where we stayed was that the pillows were too high. If that's the only thing I can think of to complain about then you know they were great accommodations.

If you ever go to Bali I would highly recommend either of these places to stay.

Have a great week :)
