Happy Friday!

I hope you are having a great week so far.

This week has flown by and I am really looking forward to the weekend. Saturday is supposed to be really nice! We have a few projects aroung the home that we want to complete, but I am hoping to go on a long walk to the beach and maybe see some friends… we are allowed to hang out together outside now woohoo.

It has been so boring being in lockdown 2.0, but the good news is there are only a few weeks left and hopefully we have a great summer ahead of us. I’ve reluctantly accepted that Christmas in Canada is just not going to happen this year, so Tj and I are trying to plan a trip in Australia (assuming interstate borders are open by then).

Until we can travel again, I’ve just been devouring books. September was an awesome reading month with some really great reads. I also re-read an old favourite and was happy to find I enjoyed it just as much the second time around.

Here are the books I read in September 2020:

  1. One Good Turn by Kate Atkinson (Jackson Brodie #2)

  2. The Red Tent by Anita Diamant (re-read)

  3. Camino Winds by John Grisham

  4. The Rural Diaries by Hilarie Burton

  5. The Last High by Daniel Kalla

  6. The Night Swim by Megan Goldin

  7. Last Tang Standing by Lauren Ho

  8. The Escape Room by Megan Goldin

  9. You Should See Me in a Crown by Robyn Harding (YA)

  10. The Swap by Robyn Harding

  11. Sing, Unburied, Sing by Jesmyn Ward

  12. The House in the Cerulean Sea by Tj Klune

Top recommendations: Sing, Unburied, Sing and The Night Swim (also The House in the Cerulean Sea, but I have a book review coming for that one soon!)

Least favourite: Camino Winds and The Swap

Have a great weekend.

Happy Reading :)
