Books I Read in June 2021
Happy Friday!
I hope you're having a great week so far.
This week has been a whirlwind. We were out of lockdown, and now we are back in lockdown (lockdown # 6 for anyone counting). It should only last for seven days but it is so frustrating. Even though we have no where to go, it is tiring not being able to have our full freedom. It makes me really pessimistic about when the international borders might open.
Hopefully this lockdown will give me more time to catch up on some reading.
I do most of my reading now when the baby is feeding, but Iin no surprise, my reading was way down in July. I am still drawn to light, fun books with happy endings. I tried to read a thriller that I've been wanting to read for a long time, but I wasn't enjoying it and I had to put it down.
Here are the books I read in June 2021:
That Summer by Jennifer Weiner
Just Last Night by Nhairi McFarlane
Seven Days in June by Tia Williams
It Happened One Summer by Tessa Bailey
Top recommendation: Seven Days in June
Least favourite: That Summer (although I’d still recommend it)
This weekend I am determined to finish a Megan Away post that I’ve been meaning to write for a while, so check back in next week and hopefully I will finally have more updates.
Have a great weekend :)
