Happy Canada Day! 

Wishing all our family and friends back home in Canada a safe and fun-filled long weekend!

Tj and I will be at work in Melbourne so we don't have any celebrations planned, but I am attempting to make Nanaimo bars for the first time so we can bring some in to work. My first try didn't turn out (baking disaster - I burnt the chocolate and scrambled the egg - oops!), but this next batch is coming together nicely.

Since we didn't do anything for Canada last year, I'm sharing a few pictures from Canada Day in London 2017. This was the day Jacob arrived so he was pretty jetlagged. We went to Trafalgar Square for a fun Canada Day celebration where the boys had Canadian beer and we waited in line way too long for a really crappy poutine.
